I didn't want him to know I knew he was looking at me. Possibly out of consideration. I didn't want him to know for the second he acknowledged that I knew, the room would fill with that unpleasantness of embarrassment that erupts when one is caught. When his eyes steadily gazed at my chest I sat there, hesitating to change my position. Instead I let the droopy plastic shirt hang as it tightly cupped my left breast.
